More than 30 Ontario First Student locations recently received an award from the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA).
First Student Canada was one of five winners for one million hours without an accident for a three-year period of time (2014, 2015 and 2016) and for posting a 20 percent below group rate average in injury frequency and the cost-rate factor.
“I am so proud of these Locations for earning this distinguished safety achievement award,” said Senior Vice President Troy Phinney. “It is evident that our employees understand and continually practice our safety disciplines and best practices in their daily operations.”
As part of Ontario's health and safety system, IHSA is recognized by the Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Transportation and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.
