CINCINNATI — First Student, the nation’s leader in student transportation, recently named Mike Nolte director of maintenance for the East Region. Nolte manages the service and maintenance of approximately 15,000 buses in over 200 locations in the Eastern United States.
“Mike comes to First Student with a very successful track record in fleet maintenance,” said David Armitt, East Region senior vice president, First Student. “His extensive industry experience and well-rounded background will ensure the continuity of a safe, reliable well- maintained fleet, as well as provide a clear strategic direction for the East Region maintenance team.”
Most recently, Nolte served as vice president of US Fleet Operations for National Express, where he managed 500+ maintenance facility leads and technicians across 30 states. He has considerable experience in preventative maintenance, new fleet implementation and asset management.
He is based out of the East Region office in Wall, N.J.
