First Student Hosting Job Fair June 10 to Fill School Bus Driver Positions in South Holland and Glenwood, Ill.

Company seeking safety-conscious drivers to join team.

CINCINNATI — First Student, Inc., the nation’s leader in student transportation, is holding a job fair on Friday, June 10 to find qualified applicants for part-time school bus driver positions at its South Holland and Glenwood, Ill. locations. The fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the company’s South Holland facility located at 16951 State Street.

First Student seeks applicants who are committed to providing safe transportation and excellent customer service. In addition, applicants should have genuine, caring attitudes for children and a commitment to serving the community. Applicants with or without a commercial driver’s license (CDL) are encouraged to apply as the company will provide all necessary training.

Prospective candidates must be at least 21 years old and able to pass all background checks and drug screens. Driver applicants must have at least three years of driving experience and possess a valid Illinois state driver’s license. They must be able to safely transport students in a timely manner and complete all pre- and post-trip shift activities. Applicants should possess a sincere desire to work with the public, follow all traffic and corporate regulations, and meet additional company requirements. 

First Student offers competitive wages and a flexible, set schedule. Drivers are not required to work on nights, weekends or holidays.

First Student’s South Holland and Glenwood locations serve South Holland School District 151, General George S. Patton District 133, Calumet Public School District 132, Sandridge School District 172, Homewood School District 153, Brookwood School District 167 and Bloom Township High School District 206.
