First Student to Hold Job Fair for Columbus Location

CINCINNATI — First Student, Inc., the nation's leader in student transportation, is looking to hire qualified part-time school bus drivers and full-time mechanics at its Columbus location. The company will be holding a job fair Saturday, March 3. First Student representatives will be on hand to answer questions and conduct interviews. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Columbus location at 1799 Frebis Avenue.

Driver applicants must:

  • Be at least 25 years of age
  • Be able to pass all background checks and drug screens
  • Have at least three years of driving experience, and
  • Possess a valid state driver's license.

In addition, applicants must be able to safely transport students in a timely manner and complete all pre- and post-trip shift activities. Applicants should possess a sincere desire to work with the public, follow all traffic and corporate regulations, and meet additional company requirements. 

Maintenance applicants must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Be able to pass all background checks and drug screens
  • Possess a valid state driver's license.
  • Have a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), or be able to obtain a CDL
  • Have at least two years of verifiable experience and/or education related to diesel mechanic.
