Springfield Public Schools Selects First Student for New Transportation Contract

CINCINNATI First Student, the nation’s leader in student transportation, will maintain its long-term relationship with Springfield Public Schools in Massachusetts for the 2014-2015 school year and beyond. The company has been awarded a new five-year contract to provide school transportation for the district. First Student has worked with Springfield Public Schools for the past 15 years.

“We value our partnership with Springfield Public Schools,” said Ted Leclerc, First Student area general manager. “We thank the district for its continued trust in our services, and we look forward to being able to provide students with safe and reliable transportation for many years to come.”

The contract between First Student and Springfield Public Schools begins in July. The agreement includes the operation, maintenance and management of a fleet of nearly 250 vehicles.
