First Student Drivers to Compete in 46th Annual School Bus Driver International Safety Competition

Nine First Student drivers will be among those competing for top honors at the School Bus Driver International Safety Competition. The National School Transportation Association (NSTA) hosts the prestigious industry event during its annual meeting and convention. The best school bus drivers from across North America demonstrate their knowledge and skills through written and driving tests. Top drivers are named in conventional, transit and small bus categories.

First Student drivers competing in the safety competition include:

  • Brian Cravens – Bethel, Ore.
  • Mollie Cornwell – Wichita, Kan.
  • Dorothy Dorman – Wichita, Kan.
  • Craig Kanner – Calgary, Alberta
  • Denise Klepac – Olathe, Kan.
  • Michael Murray – Wallkill, N.Y.
  • Tim Patterson – Villa Park, Ill.
  • Katy Snyder – Neptune, N.J.
  • Bob Witter – White Bear Lake, Minn.

The safety competition takes place July 17 in Greensboro, N.C. Drivers qualify by placing in the top 10 of their state or province competition.
