First Student Honors Local Manager with Presidential Awards of Excellence

CINCINNATI—First Student, North America’s leader in student transportation, recently presented its inaugural Presidential Awards of Excellence, recognizing the company’s top performing location and area general managers in safety, customer service and overall performance. Daryl Jefferson, location manager at the company’s Lake Oswego, Ore. location, was presented with the Presidential Location Manager of the Year Award for demonstrating a proficiency in developing and maintaining a high level of safety and customer service at his location.

“I am very honored to have received this award,” Jefferson said. “I contribute much of this success to my staff for their assistance and our management team for their guidance. We look forward to another great year as we continue to provide safe and efficient student transportation service for the schools and the parents.”

The Presidential Award honors location managers who have one of the safest locations out of each First Student market division type including rural, small city, suburban and urban, within their region. In addition, the recipient of this award has provided excellent customer service and exceptional financial management.
