CINCINNATI— Autobus Transco, a wholly owned subsidiary of First Student Inc., has acquired Montreal-based Transport St. Leonard. With this acquisition, Transport St. Leonard becomes part of the largest provider of school transportation in North America. Through the $8.5 million deal, Autobus Transco began operating the 150 schools buses in the area Monday, January 9, 2012.

Autobus Transco is committed to providing safe and reliable student transportation services and looks forward to a successful relationship with the school district.”
Currently, Autobus Transco operates 400 school buses throughout Montreal. As part of the transition, the experienced drivers will participate in 20 hours of classroom and behind-the-wheel training, which includes education on such topics as student behavioral management and bus safety.
