First Student Awarded Student Transportation Contract with the Troy School District, Troy Michigan
CINCINNATI— First Student, Inc., the nation’s leader in student transportation, has been awarded the transportation contract for the Troy School District in Troy, Mich., beginning July 15, 2009. First Student is part of Cincinnati-based FirstGroup America, North America’s largest transportation company.
The contract is a three-year agreement which includes the operation, maintenance and management of a fleet of 92 vehicles that will transport students at schools throughout the district. First Student will provide some of the industry’s latest technologies, including high-definition GPS and electronic vehicle safety inspection systems on all buses. First Student will also put 24 new school buses into service for the Troy School District.
