First Student Awarded Student Transportation Contract with the Benton Harbor Area Schools in Benton Harbor Michigan

 

CINCINNATI— First Student, Inc., the nation’s leader in student transportation, has been awarded the contract to provide student transportation for the Benton Harbor Area Schools in Benton Harbor, Mich., beginning July 1, 2009. First Student is part of Cincinnati-based FirstGroup America, North America’s largest transportation company. 
 
The contract is a five-year agreement which includes the operation, maintenance and management of a fleet of 54 vehicles.

Knowledgeable drivers are a terrific asset and First Student will evaluate all existing local employees who presently serve the district. Current drivers who meet First Student driver requirements are encouraged to apply.
 
All school buses in First Student’s fleet, will have high-definition GPS tracking systems installed by 2010.
